Delegate Tickets

We really want you to attend the whole event, and with everything that is included, why wouldn’t you? The full conference package includes not just the two days of lectures (with tea/coffee/lunch), but also the Icebreaker Reception and the Conference Dinner socials, plus 2 nights bed & breakfast accommodation at Unite Students’ brand new facility Horizon Heights. Conveniently located for arrivals by train into Lime Street station, the en-suite accommodation is well equipped and just a short walk from the conference venue. Conscious of the c.10 min walk uphill from the accommodation to the venue, the committee have secured a very limited number of bedrooms closer to the venue which are considered more accessible for those with mobility restrictions. Delegates can request these rooms via the online booking form, but it is stressed that these rooms are of limited availability and separate from the rest of the conference delegates, so please only request these rooms if you have have significant mobility issues.

Day Attendance

If you can only make it for one day, then we also have day delegate tickets available. These only include access to the lecture programme (including tea/coffee/lunch) and trade exhibition, but not the evening socials or overnight accommodation. Be sure to check the conference programme to help you decide which day to attend.

Field Trips

As an add-on to your delegate ticket, you can also include the option for our incredible, unique field trips (which take place on either the Tuesday prior to the conference, or the Friday after the conference) to geological or operational minerals sites in the region.

Tuesday Field Trips (all 12:00pm)

A: NSG Pilkington Greengate Glass Works, St Helens (WA9 5DZ)

B: Heidelberg Materials - Cefn Mawr Quarry / Padeswood Cement Works, Mold, North Wales (CH7 5EA)

Friday Field Trips (all 10:30am)

C: Bathgate Silica Sand - Arclid Quarry, Sandbach (CW11 4SN)

D: Mersey Tunnels Tour, Liverpool (L3 1DD)

E: Lion Salt Works Museum, Northwich (CW9 6ES)

NB. These trips are hosted voluntarily by our supporting partners and are subject to change or, if poorly supported, to be cancelled. If anything changes with the proposed field trips after bookings are taken, EIG’s field trip coordinator will be in touch to arrange an alternative or refund.

Attendance on these trips is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a nominal fee for each trip to cover admin costs. Please only book a maximum of one trip for the Tuesday and one trip for the Friday per delegate.

Additional Accommodation

You may wish to book additional night’s accommodation either before or after those included in the conference package, particularly if you are attending a field trip on Friday. We have therefore included an option for an additional night’s accommodation on campus on either Monday 7th or Thursday 10th.

Accompanying Persons

If you have a spouse/partner that would wish to accompany you, we have an accompanying persons package available. This includes overnight bed and breakfast for the 8th and 9th of September and allows them to attend the Ice Breaker and Conference Dinner social events. None of the technical conference elements or the trade exhibition are included.

Booking Process

Using the widget below, select the number of delegates and types of ticket required. Clicking next will take you to the add-ons page, where you can add field trips and additional accommodation. This will then take you to the checkout.

At the checkout, you will be first asked for details of the person placing the order. This is for payment purposes only.

This will then be followed by a form for each delegate being registered. Please complete these for every delegate. Each delegate form will be headed with the type of ticket being booked - if you are booking multiple tickets, please ensure that you match the ticket type to the specific delegate. If add-ons are included for specific delegates, please ensure that this is referenced in the add-ons field for the particular delegate.

Where there are any dietary or access/mobility requirements, please ensure that this is also captured in the form. If you are booking for somebody else, it is essential to ask these questions before completing the form rather than leaving the fields blank.
